Isn’t there a fairy tale about elves using tools at night to help a farmer?
These miniature tools and machines are all, except for the level, useable!
Thank you, Paul McClafferty of Riverview, NB for lending us this unique display.
The miniature tools are one-tenth of their original size. Paul even used one of the planes when
making some of the other tools. If you look closely enough you might be able to spot the Phillips
and the Robertson screwdrivers. The level does have a bubble, but it won’t check your final
project for evenness.
The working machine tools – an 1890s drill press, an 1890s wood lathe and a 1912 saw table - are one-twelfth of their original size and were made from kits. These treasures are on loan to the Agricultural Museum of New Brunswick for this summer only.
Be sure to stop in soon to see these tools and machines.
